Hi quilters! Are you ready for our first swap of 2024? We’ve come up with what we think is a fun and easy swap with no signup necessary.
WHEN: May 12th meeting
DETAILS: Bring an unfinished 6-1/2” square block to the meeting. Or, if you’re on a roll, bring up to 10 blocks (all 6-1/2”). In other words, trade 1 for 1.
Use scraps from your stash. You may want to use some or all of the scraps you picked up at the April meeting. What type of block? Your choice. If you like the scrappy idea, have you ever tried a Crumb Block? This tutorial Using Your Fabric Crumbs includes tips on scrap or “crumb” management.
Finally, whenever you make something from your block(s), please share at one of our meetings. Maybe you’ll use your swap block with other blocks to make coasters, a table runner, a bag, a pillow or start a quilt. Whatever it is, we’d love to see what you create!
