We are excited to announce our guild challenge for 2025. In support of our Grow theme for 2025, our guild challenge is called Color Outside the Lines. The challenge is to use or include color in your quilts in a way that is new to you! Choosing a quilt color palette can be difficult and we want you to step a bit out of your personal color zone.
Here are a few examples –
- Build a palette for your quilt using a color or colors that are ones that don’t typically show up in your quilts
- Go monochromatic and play with color tints, tones and shades
- Break out a color wheel and choose complementary, analogous, split-complementary or triadic colors.
- Add a bit of black and white to add interest to a quilt

Official Guidelines:
- Quilt can be of any size
- Quilts can use solids, prints or both
- Quilt must be finished (i.e. quilted) and either bound or faced
- Quilt must be finished between March 10 and October 31, 2025
- Quilt design must be original
- Each guild member is allowed one individual challenge entry.
- Prizes will be awarded for Viewer’s Choice and randomly to at least one participant
