What is our annual Garage Stash Sale?
For 4 straight years (2025 with be the fifth year), we have held a stash sale at our November meeting. The event first started in 2021 when we held our very first in-person meeting after moving to Zoom meetings during the pandemic. The sale (and the meeting) were both held outside and we got lucky with a beautiful November day.
The event was so much fun and we decided to do it again each November!
We get donations of boxes and boxes of fabric, quilting books and notions each year. Some of the donations are used for our Community Giving quilts. The rest are available for purchase in our November meeting.
Members are welcome to donate any materials as well from your own stash. We ask that any donated fabric be sorted by size, i.e. FQs, 1/4 yard, 1/2 yard, 3/4 yard, 1 yard, 1+ yard, 2 yard, and 2+ yard. We also ask that quilting cotton be separated from other fabric types.
Donations brought to a guild meeting prior to November are truly appreciated because they give the team time to sort and price. If you need a pick-up from your home, email trianglemqg@gmail.com to make arrangements.
Everything is priced to sell! You won’t find deals this good anywhere else.
Proceeds from Garage Stash Sale will benefit a non-profit as well as our own Community Giving initiatives. In 2024, half the proceeds were donated to non-profit in Western NC supporting those impacted by the catastrophic flooding.
Any items leftover from the sale are donated to the Scrap Exchange and Dorcas Thrift Store.
