Triangle MQG is a chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild. We welcome North Carolina quilters of all abilities with an interest in modern quilting to join our guild. Our membership includes 200+ enthusiastic quilters who love to talk about quilts and fabric.
Guild meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 3-5 at the Brier Creek Community Center, 10810 Globe Road, Morrisville.
Our 2026 membership calendar runs February 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027.
Dues for 2025 are $50 for new and returning members. A discount rate of 50% is available for full time students or anyone aged 21 and younger at time of membership submission or renewal. (Dues are prorated for members joining on / after August 1.)
Triangle MQG is piloting a scholarship program for the 2026 membership year. Triangle MQG Membership Scholarships offer support for creatives to further develop quilting-related skills, community, and to participate in quilt-related experiences, regardless of financial constraints. Application form and additional information is available.
New members are welcome to attend two guild meetings before deciding to join the guild. We accept payments via credit card, check or cash.
- If paying with credit card, purchase your membership with our online payments system.
- If paying with cash or check, fill in the membership form and either bring payment to the next guild meeting or mail your check.
Membership in Triangle MQG includes membership in the MQG. However, please note that if you are already an Individual Member of the Modern Quilt Guild, you will still need to pay our membership fee if you are interested in joining our guild.
Member benefits include:
- Monthly guild meetings feature a program on a topic of interest along with members sharing their latest creations. Past programs have included discussions on scrap management, preparing your quilt for quilting, Ted talks on quilt finishing techniques plus guest artists sharing their inspirational work and their quilting journey.
- Meeting with fellow guild members to chat and sew at our monthly sew socials which take place on the 1st Sunday of the month and/or by joining a quilting bee
- Participation in our yearly guild challenge with a chance to win prizes from our sponsors
- Membership swaps of small handmade items or supplies
- Attendance at workshops and guild retreats (note there is limited seating and additional fees for these events)
- Option to contribute to our group quilt submitted each year in response to the QuiltCon Community Quilt challenge

- Discounts for QuiltCon, the annual conference run by the MQG. Members can enter quilts into the show and participate in early registration for lectures and workshops at discounted rates. (QuiltCon returns to Raleigh in February 2026.)
- Two enamel pins – one for Triangle MQG and one for MQG
