The Triangle MQG membership year runs from February 1 to January 31. The guild board is elected each year in the January membership meeting and the board 1 year term begins at the conclusion of the January membership meeting. Individuals can serve for multiple years on the board in the same or different positions.
The Guild Bylaws (updated October 2023 after adoption in October 2020) describe the roles and responsibilities of different board positions. At a minimum, the bylaws require three board members – President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Jessica Easterly, President
Jessica joined the Triangle MQG in 2022 after moving here from the Midwest and needing a way to plug into the community. She has been a board member since 2023 and is thrilled to be president this year. When not quilting, Jessica has her nose in a book, a cat on her lap, or doing other crafty endeavors. Sandy Maxfield, Treasurer
Sandy first joined TMQG in 2023 after moving to Raleigh from Virginia. She joined the board as treasurer in 2026 and is looking forward to getting to know even more quilty friends in this wonderful community. Itnuit Janovitz Freireich, VP Events
Itnuit joined the guild in 2022 after discovering quilting just a few months prior and jumping in feet first into this passion. When not quilting she is asleep! Melissa Woodard, VP Communications

Michael Lilly, VP Outreach & Programming
Michael joined the guild in August of 2023, and joined the board as the Secretary in 2024. He really enjoys being able to get to know people, especially new quilting friends! Patty Dudek, VP Membership

Tatyana Kelly, VP of Community Giving
Tatyana joined the guild in 2018 and is a past president of the board. She enjoys improv and memory quilting, and frequently forgets where the instructions to any pattern she’s iterating off of went.
