We’ve been talking a lot about color recently between our guild challenge and block lottery.
Join us on May 8th, 3 – 5 pm for a lecture called “The Taming of the HUES: a Color Play” presented by local award-winning artist and educator Lyric Montgomery Kinard. Choosing the right colors for your quilt shouldn’t feel like a guessing game—or a trip back to art theory class. If you’ve ever stood in front of your fabric stash wondering why your favorite colors just aren’t working together, this lecture is for you. With vivid visuals and metaphor-rich storytelling, Lyric brings clarity to confusing color schemes and shows you how to spot relationships between hues that just work.
We will also host our fourth Block Lottery drawing – Analogous Curves – as well as our 5” block swap.
Finally, we will have everyone’s favorite part of the meeting – Show & Tell to show off your recent makes!
