Every month, we’ll announce a quilt block for members to make for the following month’s guild meeting. You can make as many blocks as you want and for every block you make, you will be entered into a drawing for ALL THE BLOCKS! From there, winners can let their creativity fly with the block winnings.
For February 2026, we are collecting blocks using only Half Square Triangles (HSTs)!
Here are the details for the February block:
Description: Using only HSTs create a square unfinished block of your choice.
Block Size: Any square size between 6 1/2″ -20 1/2″ unfinished
Fabric: quilter’s choice – Use scraps, solids, or prints
Skill to Explore: pieced; scraps; modern traditionalism
Instructions:
- Find or design a block that uses only HSTs as units.
- Create your HSTs of the appropriate sizes
- Assemble your HSTs into a block.
