We are excited to announce a new workshop opportunity with Bianca Springer called Scrappy Patchwork Hand Embroidery. Bianca will also be our program speaker for our October meeting!
Scrappy Patchwork Hand Embroidery
Give garments a personal patchwork accent through embroidery, fabric scraps,
stencils and orphan blocks! After practicing a sampler of stitches, you’ll learn
techniques for embellishing and mending your clothing. Discussion will cover which
fibers and stabilizers work best, plus tips for durable hand-stitching that withstands
wear and washing. By slow stitching in conversation, this workshop becomes both
creative and restorative.
Student Supplies: Participants provide garments, embroidery floss, and patchwork
materials.
